Thanks to everyone who came and everyone who supported Bay Ridge Center's second annual Summer Celebration of Giving on June 25. It was a wonderful afternoon with music, dancing, raffles, food, and lots of social time.

Bay Ridge Center was also so pleased to be able to honor John Abi-Habib for his career of service to the Bay Ridge Community and his longtime support of the Center's program. We are grateful to the Salaam Club for their announcement of plans to make a major charitable donation to Bay Ridge Center for the development of our new center at 15 Bay Ridge Avenue.

Thanks to Assembly Member Michael Tannousis for taking the time to join us in the afternoon. He also expressed his thanks to John Abi-Habib for all this contributions to the community — and for helping to start Michael in his career!

Huge thanks to Gerri Cassone for all of her work to make this event a success, and to all the Board and Community Advisory Board members who gave sponsorship through their businesses, sold tickets, and volunteered at the event.

Executive Director Todd W. Fliedner also thanked the Lutheran Church for donating their backyard space to the event, to Whippoorwill for providing great music, and to the BRC staff for taking the extra time to help at the Summer Celebration — and for being great people to work with every day!

The 27th Annual March for Meals was sponsored by Bay Ridge Center and the BRC Community Advisory Board. The annual March for Meals helps to raise awareness for and support Bay Ridge Center's provision of home-delivered meals in Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Dyker Heights and Gravesend to 600+ frail, homebound and elderly residents every day.
