Fitness & Wellness

Our brand-new state-of-the-art gym boasts cutting-edge hydraulic machines, offering a dynamic workout tailored to our members’ needs to experience fitness innovation at its finest! We have a large exercise areas and gym designed for older adults.

Every day members can participate in exercise classes taught by talented and excellent professionals. We have fitness classes for persons of all abilities looking to increase their cardio, strengthen their muscle, increase their balance and flexibility and have fun!

Additionally, we facilitate a walking club, which is active when weather conditions allow. These outings typically include outdoor strolls, some within the neighborhood or to specific destinations like galleries or parks. Periodically, we arrange trips involving walking, such as visits to Dumbo via ferry or to Ft. Hamilton and the Harbor Museum. The walking club convenes every Monday at 2:00 pm and Thursday at 10:30 am.

Nutrition and Health Presentations

Informative and interesting presentations are scheduled regularly for our members to enjoy, both in-person and on Zoom. ​

Topics cover all types of health and nutrition issues for aging adults and often feature guest speakers such as nurses and student interns or professionals from other agencies. Some recent topics include the ins and outs of Medicare/Medicaid, Heart Health, Kidney Disease, High Blood Pressure, Screenings/Prevention, Emergency Preparedness and many more!
