I decided to pursue my clinical social work path so I can give back to my community, especially the Chinese community that could benefit from my bilingual skills. Who else is looking forward to the new Center? It holds new promises and opportunities for staff and members alike, it will be a big step forward for all of us. I aspire to become a clinical social worker so I can practice as a psychotherapist. I am dedicated to fighting the stigma against mental health and mental illness. I love helping others so naturally, a helping profession was the direction I decided to turn. Mental health is just as important as physical health, you would not delay a check up if you were feeling unwell, as such you should never delay a check in for your mental health either!
