Todd W. Fliedner

Todd W. Fliedner is honored to lead Bay Ridge Center forward as Executive Director and proud to reside in the community BRC serves. Todd was Development Director for Brooklyn Community Pride Center and Tribeca Performing Arts Center and has held senior development and marketing positions at numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway theaters including Circle Repertory Theater, Roundabout Theater Company, WPA, the Pearl and Primary Stages. As an entrepreneur, Todd founded, launched and operated NYC Navigators, OUTboundNY, Inc. and POV NYC. In 2018 Todd was honored as one of the Kings of Kings County for his service to the community.

Candice Sessoms, M.Ed.
Director of Operations/QA, ext:114
BRC’s Director of Operations & QA, Candice Sessoms, has over 20 years’ experience working in the not-for-profit sector monitoring program compliance and standards with a dedicated focus on internal audits, program management, fiscal constraints, goal development, data analysis and HIPAA. In addition, she has an extensive working knowledge of Social and Human service programs within New York City and State to include but not limited to, OPWDD, OMH, and OCFS. Candice is keen on chain of command and being operationally sound while creating a welcoming work environment sure to bring excitement to the office.

Amed is a results-driven professional with 9+ years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, specializing in community outreach and administration. Recognized for surpassing objectives and establishing new standards of excellence, Amed's passion for community impact has earned him widespread respect. As a distinguished Brooklyn Ambassador appointed by the Borough President, he showcased unwavering commitment to enhancing Brooklyn's diverse neighborhoods. A member of The New York Community Trust Leadership Fellows, Amed exemplifies dedication to continuous growth in the non-profit sector. His career reflects a steadfast commitment to inclusivity and collaboration.

Catherine King, LMSW
Director of Social work & Older Adult Services
ext: 105Catherine King, LMSW (Cathy) is a dedicated social worker with decades of direct practice and administrative experience in the field of Gerontology. As Director of Senior Services at Bay Ridge Center, she is committed to the older adults in the community. Cathy loves developing creative programs and watching them grow. Her biggest passion is overseeing the Student Internship Program where she has the opportunity to teach new student interns and forge collaborative relationships with major universities.

Kim Laraichi
Meals on Wheels Director
Kim Laraichi, Assistant Director/Director for Home Delivered Meals, has worked at the Bay Ridge Center for over 21 years. Through her leadership, the Center delivered meals to over 610 clients every day throughout the Pandemic. Kim loves to play Jenga. She say ’I’m master at this game anyone want to challenge me?’ Also, she is a black belt in Taekwondo.

Margaret Stone
Network Service Coordinator
Margaret Stone has been with Bay Ridge Center for over 5 years. During this time she worked closely with the program directors collecting data, ensuring the numbers were aligned and programming took place accordingly. Margaret has always had a great relationship with the seniors at the center ensuring all their needs were met and follow up was conducted. With her hard work and dedication to the population served she was promoted and now assumes the role of Network Service Coordinator.

Ashley Witherell, our dedicated Bay Ridge Program Director. Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role, holding a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health from Southern New Hampshire University. With over 6 years of experience in the social work field, she previously served as a Supported Housing Case Manager in Upstate New York, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact on individuals' lives. Ashley's friendly demeanor and genuine willingness to help and listen make her an invaluable asset to our team. Whether you have questions, concerns, or simply need someone to talk to, Ashley is here to support you on your journey of aging in place.

Zaza Kandakai
Tenant Care Director
Zaza Kandakai is the Tenant Care Director at Sunset Ridge, an affordable housing facility for older adults. Prior to assuming this role, Zaza worked as a Housing Specialist at a homeless shelter, where his primary responsibility was to facilitate the transition of homeless individuals into permanent housing. Zaza holds a master's degree in Public Administration from Long Island University, where he achieved excellence in his studies, earning a place on the Dean's list. Additionally, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix.
