Hi everyone, my name is Ryan Lin. (Can we add a picture of you?) I am a first-year social work intern studying at Hunter College. I decided to pursue my clinical social work path so I can give back to my community, especially the Chinese community that could benefit from my bilingual skills. I am dedicated to becoming a mental health counselor and promoting the importance of mental health in the Chinese community. I’m also interested in promoting cultural exchange which helps people to receive a better view on the beauty of Chinese culture. Try out this recipe if you are interested, I promise it will be good!

Who else is looking forward to the new Center? It holds new promises and opportunities for staff and members alike, it will be a big step forward for all of us. In this post, I’ll talk about what I am looking forward to seeing in the new center, and I am sure some of you mare share a similar sentiment.

I aspire to become a clinical social worker so I can practice as a psychotherapist. I am dedicated to fighting the stigma against mental health and mental illness. I love helping others so naturally, a helping profession was the direction I decided to turn. Mental health is just as important as physical health, you would not delay a check up if you were feeling unwell, as such you should never delay a check in for your mental health either!
